Charles Williams is a 5090 running back with elusiveness and speed. The veteran tailback will be the Runnin Rebels featured back in 2020. Williams has played every year since his freshman year.
He was a high school standout at Bullard High School where he was a three star recruit. He amassed 3,580 total rushing yards in two years, which is the second most rushing yards ever at the school. He scored 48 touchdowns which tied a school record.
In 2016 as a true freshman, he played in 12 games, and rumbled for 763 yards ranking ninth in the nation among freshman. He has been pretty impressive since his first year.
In 2017, Charles Williams suffered a season ending injury after one game. He did rush for 93 yards that year though.
In 2018, Charles finished 3rd on the team with 332 net yards rushing. He was a gunner on special teams as well. The Fresno, California native had a 100 yard game against his hometown Fresno State team.
Last year though Charles Williams tore it up. The scat back from Fresno ran wild. He carried the all 212 times for 1,257 yards and scored 11 touchdowns. He has averaged 5.7 yards per carry his entire career for the Running Rebels. Last year he averaged 104.8 yards per game, this kid is poised for a major break-out season in 2020.
NFL Draft Diamonds Scouting Notes:
Charles Williams is not talked about by many drafniks, but let me tell you something, just call him the Runnin Rebel. I think in 2020 he will break out for 1,500 plus yards and add at least 10 more touchdowns to his totals. I would like to see UNLV utilize him in the passing game. He has just 13 career receptions. NFL teams like versatile players and Williams proved he can be a gunner on Special teams, but if he can show off his hands in 2020, his stock will rise. – Damond Talbot, NFL Draft Diamonds Owner
