Antaun Hill Jr. Independence
Antaun Hill Jr. a former Fairfield High School standout safety was shot and killed in a group fight over some missing AirPods and a cell phone. Police are still investigating.

Another senseless crime will send multiple youth to jail and leave one dead from a gunshot wound. This makes no sense, but seems to be happening quite a bit this year.

Antaun Hill Jr., 18, a standout safety for Fairfield High School who recently committed to play JuCo football for Independence CC in Kansas was shot and killed last week when two groups of kids agreed to meet in the park to fight and settle their differences.

The fight was reportedly over a cell phone and AirPods that were taken. Two groups of people – involving dozens of people – decided to fight. Two men opened fire into a crowd, killing one and wounding two.

Unfortunately, the man killed was Antaun Hill Jr., a football player with a promising career ahead of him. You can check out his senior season highlights below.

Fairfield School officials released a statement Thursday, saying “we are saddened by the untimely death of Antaun Hill Jr.”

“He was a great young man and a model student with an infectious smile. As a leader on the football team, he was scheduled to leave in a few weeks to continue playing the sport he loved at the collegiate level. He will be sorely missed by his friends, teachers, administrators, classmates and teammates. We will keep his family in our prayers during this extremely difficult time,” said school officials.

Police had arrested a man for the murder, but they are now finding out there was more than one gunmen. An investigation is still pending.

Can we please take a second to pray for the Hill family. This is such a tragic loss. There is a GoFundMe page set up for the Hill Family.
