Trey Lance is a Franchise Quarterback | 2021 Draft Scouting Report
Andrew Lampke of NFL Draft Diamonds began to break down quarterbacks in the 2021 NFL Draft. He started with FCS gunslinger Trey Lance from North Dakota State. You can check out his scouting report on Youtube, or below!
Mel Kiper Jr. said Trey Lance is a top 15 pick, and now another sports analyst is saying he is contending for the 1st overall pick?
Should teams be Tanking for Trey Lance?
NFL Network draft analyst Bucky Brooks told The Athletic’s Bruce Feldman not to be surprised if Lance takes off like Joe Burrow did, competing with Trevor Lawrence for the first overall pick.
Trey Lance could emerge as a contender for the No. 1 spot due to his combination of athleticism, poise and playmaking ability. He reminds me a lot of Deshaun Watson with his style of play.
He takes good care of the ball. Most important, he wins. With NDSU producing pros at the position, scouts are going to take him seriously as a prospect, and the NFL’s shift towards more athletic playmakers at the position could help him climb the charts. He can carve you up from the pocket or use his legs to create plays on the perimeter.“
Trey Lance is our owner’s favorie prospects in the 2021 NFL Draft as well.
Only nine quarterbacks have been drafted this past decade from a small school, and two of them came from North Dakota State. Both Carson Wentz and Easton Stick were both drafted, and I expect Lance to be next. Lance has poise, he is mature beyong his age, and the kid is a gamer. Trey Lance is a proven winner and he knows how to distribute the ball all over the field. Lance will be in the NFL, if he decides to declare early I cannot knock him. – Damond Talbot, Owner, NFL Draft Diamonds
