Who are the top 10 players in the NCAA Transfer Portal?

This year has been insane when it comes to transfers. So many FCS players have decided to transfer up to the FBS, and there are some solid NFL potential prospects who are transferring as well. I was going through a list of transfers on 247 Sports, and I was blown away by the players in the portal.
So let’s break down the top 5 players in my eyes that are currently in the transfer portal.
Who are my top ten in the Transfer Portal?
- Rico Bussey, WR, North Texas – Rico Bussey Jr. suffered a torn ACL in the first half of North Texas’ second game of the 2019 season. He is a beast and can help a team out right now with one year remaining. He is a draft pick in my opinion in the 2021 NFL Draft.
- JT Daniels, QB, USC – The kid was a five star recruit and is looking for a new home. I wonder if he will end up at LSU? I mean they did just lose a pretty good quarterback to the NFL.
- Ricky Slade, RB, Penn State – Another five star player coming out of high school. He ran for 214 yards and scored twice last year. Someone will land him and get a playmaker. He is fast and had good hands.
- Darien Chase, WR, Nebraska – The Washington native wants to move closer to home. He tweeted that he has lost family members and has struggled with depression. He is a very solid player, but only caught one pass last year.
- Jarrid Williams, OT, Houston – Williams started 13 games at right tackle for Houston. He only allowed 2 sacks on the entire year. There are tons of teams that could use an upgrade at OT. Could the “U” land him with his former QB there?
- Josh Pederson, TE, University of Louisiana Monroe – Pederson made 43 receptions for 567 yards and a team-high nine touchdowns as a junior. He is the best tight end in my opinion in the transfer portal. Remember this is Doug Pederson’s son, so maybe a move closer to Philly?
- Jarrian Jones, S, Mississippi State – Jones was a highly recruited player out of high school. He had just 12 tackles and two PBU’s last season. He was solid enough to play in 11 games though on the year.
- Scooby Carter, CB, Alabama – Scooby had 22 scholarship offers and he selected Alabama. He is leaving the Crimson Tide for personal reasons. He was suspended last year for the Mississippi State game. I bet a team from Texas comes knocking, since that is where he is from.
- JaTarvious Whitlow, RB, Auburn – Whitlow led Auburn in rushing attempts, yards and touchdowns in each of the last two seasons. He is a very good running back who ran for 763 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2019.
- Eyabi Anoma, LB, Houston/Alabama – Anoma did not play, he was dismissed at Alabama and went to Houston thinking he would get playing time. He is a monster, he is huge and has all the talent if he can keep his head on his shoulders.
