Former Alabama QB Taulia Tagovailoa is headed to Maryland

Taulia Tagovailoa has a new home. Tua’s little brother has transferred to Maryland according to his Twitter account.
The Class of 2019 quarterback, was a three-star prospect, originally from Hawaii. He and his family moved to Alabaster, Alabama, and began playing at Thompson High School shortly after Tua enrolled at Alabama.
Taulia Tagovailoa played in five games his freshman season in 2019, accounting for 100 passing yards and a touchdown while going 9-for-12 in pass attempts.
The younger Tagovailoa left Alabama before he really got a chance to battle for the starting job.
Tagovailoa’s time at Alabama was strange from the start. He committed to the Crimson Tide just 16 days after 4-star quarterback Paul Tyson, the great-grandson of Paul “Bear” Bryant, gave his verbal pledge to Alabama. Two in-state legacies battled on the field months after that, and they were expected to battle following their true freshmen seasons.
Many betting websites thought Tagovailoa would head to Auburn, Oregon, or Hawaii, and Miami actually had some good odds, but Maryland the deep sleeper strikes. I like this signing for Maryland. This is a great pick up.
Tagovailoa was only in the transfer portal for 8 days until the University of Maryland picked him up.
