2021 NFL Draft Prospect: Tanner Owen, OL, Northwest Missouri State

Earlier I talked about Sam Roberts from Division II powerhouse Northwest Missouri State and his special ability on the defensive side/special teams of the ball. Now, we will switch over to the offensive side of the ball as Northwest Missouri State has a beast of a player on the offensive line.
Tanner Owen is a 6-foot-5, 280-pound offensive lineman out of Kearney, Missouri. The former University of Missouri commit was ranked by ESPN as the No.17 recruit in Missouri coming out of high school. In three years with Northwest Missouri State, Owen has started all 38 games. His consistency upfront landed him on the American Football Coaches Association First-Team All-American squad.
He is a two-time First-Team All-MIAA selection and anchors down an offensive that ranked No.1 in the nation in red zone scoring offense. The Bearcats are a scoring machine as they averaged 44.8 points per game with 38 rushing touchdowns and 29 passing touchdowns.
The Bearcats are certainly a Division II team to watch this year. They have studs on all sides of the ball and I expect big things out of them this season.
Scouting Notes:
Tanner is probably the best offensive lineman in Division 2. The former Missouri transfer abuses players in his conference. NFL teams already know about him and with another big year he should solidify a spot with an NFL team. – Damond Talbot, Owner, NFL Draft Diamonds
