2021 NFL Draft Prospect: Sam Roberts, DL, Northwest Missouri State

Sam Roberts plays a huge role in the Northwest Missouri State Bearcats on defense and special teams. The Second-Team All MIAA pick ranked second in the conference in tackles-for-loss per game with 1 and tied for fifth in Division II football with three blocked kicks.
Last season Roberts had 37 tackles with five sacks and a team-high 11 quarterback hurries. In 2018, Roberts was a First-Team All-MIAA pick and earned an honorable mention as an All-American by Don Hansen’s Football Gazette. He finished his All-American year with 50 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, and 6 sacks.

What makes a guy like Roberts so attractive to NFL teams is his ability to strive on special teams. His three blocked kicks last year is an impressive stat that NFL teams will notice. He is a tall defensive lineman, standing at 6-foot-5 and can certainly make an impact for a team if given a shot at the next level.
Scouting Notes:
For the media this kid is going to be a huge sleeper. Roberts is a huge pass rusher with NFL prototypical size and is pretty damn good too! He has been an All-MIAA player for multiple years. He can get to the QB and good power. – Damond Talbot, Owner, NFL Draft Diamonds
