Two years ago in 2018, Elijah was named to the first team All-Big Sky Conference after becoming the first Hornet running back to hold that honor since 2000. Last year, the scat back plastered his name in the stat books. He recorded 1,445 all purpose yards, and added another 11 touchdowns. He started to look like Thurman Thomas out of the backfield last season. He caught 70 receptions for 702 yards and also ran the ball 151 times for 742 yards rushing. He finished with 11 TD’s. This kid is special.
NFL Draft Diamonds Scouting Notes:
NFL teams want a running back that can punish a defender like Zach Moss and they want a player who can catch and who is elusive like Devin Singletary. Elijah Dotson is a bigger and faster Devin Singletary. He can make you miss, and he has the burst to get away from you. He is a 6000 back who can catch 70 balls out the backfield. That is a weapon alone, but add in the fact that he is super versatile and can play Special Teams and you have a future star. – Damond Talbot, NFL Draft Diamonds Owner
