Five biggest FBS sleepers to watch for in the 2020 NFL Draft

NFL Draft Diamonds owner picks five players from the FBS that he fell in love with when watching film. Who are your biggest risers in the 2020 NFL Draft?

The NFL Draft is coming up this week, and we are excited. There are so many sleepers and solid prospects in the 2020 NFL Draft. We have been putting out tons of information on our site about small schoolers and we rarely talk about big school players, but I wanted to take a second and break down some of the biggest sleepers in the 2020 NFL Draft from Division 1 (FBS). So let’s look at the guys I think will have the best week, and who teams are falling in love with.

Alex Highsmith, Edge, Charlotte – I have heard so many great things about this kid. Teams are falling in love. He has had over 12 facetime calls with NFL teams, and even had one recently with my beloved Buffalo Bills. Highsmith is a guy that NFL teams are falling in love with because they do not believe he has reached his potential. He has athletic ability, and has production as well. A scout told me the other day, he is great on the field and between the ears. Highsmith is a smart kid, and a humble kid and teams love that about him.

Tyler Johnson, WR, Minnesota – This kid is being extremely overlooked. I have watched film on him and I am blown away. This kid should be considered a first round pick. I like his film better than many in the 1st round. I think he will be a steal for a team. He has a knack of getting open, and that is what intrigues me. He may not be the fastest, or biggest guy, but you have to love a player that can get open and produce. Johnson produces, he just did not do it for an Ohio State or Alabama. This kid is a stud, whoever picks him is hitting a homerun.

Kenny Robinson, S, West Virginia – Many people watched the XFL, and if you did you know Kenny Robinson. The kid was one of the best players in the league. He elected to play in the XFL rather than West Virginia last year and it paid off. I like this kid because he has film at the highest level. This should be a huge advantage for NFL teams. I think Robinson is one of the best and hard hitting safeties in the draft.

LeVante Bellamy, RB, Western Michigan – I love MAC football being a Buffalo Bulls fan and this kid Bellamy may not be the biggest back as height is concerned (5090), but when it comes to heart, you cannot compare him to others. This kid runs so hard each and every down. I am surprised people are not talking about him more. I remember him eating my Buffalo Bulls up in 2017 when he ran the ball 11 times for 131 averaging 11.9 yards a carry. That was all I needed to see. That was a stout defense and they beat us in 7 overtimes. That kid is talented.

Josiah Deguara, TE, Cincinnati – Teams are getting creative with H-Backs/Tight Ends and this kid fits the mold of one of those players. He is a 6030, 250 pound tight end that can run, block and catch well. He has been pretty popular with NFL teams, many teams have shown tons of interest. One team has called him over 4 times, and they “truzz” their scouting department.
