Bengals have released QB Andy Dalton

I am a huge fan of Andy Dalton every since he got my beloved Buffalo Bills in the playoffs. Well, today the Bengals announced they are releasing him.
The 10-year veteran was scheduled to make $17.7 million this season, but will now be a free agent. I would not be surprised if the Patriots come calling.
The Bengals will roll with Joe Burrow as their starting quarterback, but let’s not forget Andy Dalton. The former TCU standout was pretty solid over his years with the Bengals.
The move free’s up $17.7 million of cap space in Cincinnati and gives Dalton a chance to find a fresh start.
I would not be surprised if the Patriots show interest. Dalton could be a great competition for Brian Hoyer and Jared Stidham.
