North Carolina Central football player Trevor VanDyke shot and killed in NC
North Carolina Central University football player Trevor VanDyke was short and killed Monday Night, according to school officials.
The shooting was reported just after 9:30 p.m. in the 4600 block of Industry Lane, according to a news release from Durham police.
Police arrived at the scene and found that a man had been shot and killed.
That man was HBCU football player Trevor VanDyke. VanDyke 18, was a freshman at the university. He started at NCCU in August 2019 after graduating from Clayton High School.
The 6000, 170 pound defensive back was a feisty player with good ball skills. Please keep his family in your prayers.
