Guess whose back? Briley Moore is the best kept secret of the 2021 NFL Draft

Briley Moore is the best kept secret of the 2021 NFL Draft.

I know most websites are talking about the 2020 NFL Draft, but NFL Draft Diamonds wanted to get a jump on the 2021 NFL Draft because Briley Moore was expected to be a 2020 NFL Draft pick until he suffered an injury.

Moore is a tight end from Northern Iowa and let me tell you this kid is very talented. The Northern Iowa roster has some amazing players on it this year but Moore is a kid that I fell in love with.

Moore is from Blue Springs, Missouri and there are seven former NFL players that came from Blue Springs including Deiondre Hall the former UNI cornerback who was drafted by the Bears. Other stars from Blue Spings were Darrius Shepherd , Donald Stephenson, and Brandon Lloyd.

Briley recently left UNI for Kansas State

Moore will be the next from Blue Springs to play in the NFL. He has the prototypical body of an NFL tight end. He is a 6040, 250 pound pass catcher with soft hands and great speed. As a senior in high school, Moore had 37 receptions for 653 yards and 15 touchdowns and led his team to a State Championship. He was a beast on the basketball court too and led his team to a State Championship in 2015.

In 2016, as a freshman at UNI, Moore saw limited action throughout 10 games and recorded his first touchdown against North Dakota State.

It was 2017, when Moore broke through. He played in 13 games but ended up becoming the starter playing in nine games. He caught 38 passes for 494 yards which was the most receptions by a tight end this decade for the Panthers.

In 2018, Moore went bananas! Moore became the most productive receiver for the Panthers in 2018. He recorded a team-high 536 yards and four touchdowns on 36 receptions. He torched North Dakota State for 96 yards and a touchdown. Moore was also named All-Missouri Conference First Team.

In 2019, Moore suffered a shoulder injury in week 1 against Iowa state, and was given a medical red-shirt. Many scouting sites are forgetting that this kid was one of the most productive players in UNI history at tight end.

What do I expect from Briley this year? I am glad you asked.

Briley Moore will likely solidify himself as a top tight end in the 2021 NFL Draft. As long as that shoulder is good, I could see Moore hearing his name called in the NFL Draft. I usually do not talk about sleepers early in the NFL Draft season, but I am a huge fan of his. I feel the kid has everything NFL teams are looking for. He could become the next Dallas Goedert!
