XFL Attendance: St. Louis deserves an NFL team after the BattleHawks showing
Stan Kroenke is a wealthy man, and while he is worth billions, he is not that bright when it comes to knowing football. The city of St. Louis is amazing, and their support for their teams is tremendous. Today, the St. Louis area will watch the newest team in their area, and they are not taking this opportunity lightly.
The BattleHawks will face the New York Guardians in their first home game of the year. The BattleHawks fans are ready and they should be. Their quarterback Jordan Ta’amu is one of the best players in the XFL. He has been really solid and is currently in second place behind Cardale Jones for most passing yards.
The BattleHawks also do a great job running the ball with Matt Jones leading the league in rushing and their star quarterback third in the league.
Today, in St. Louis they take on Matt McGloin and the New York Guardians. Last week, McGloin called out his coaching as they were smashed by the DC Defenders.
According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the XFL’s BattleHawks were expecting to have 28,000 for Sunday’s home opener against the New York Guardians, filling the lower bowl at the Dome at America’s Center (formerly the Edward Jones Dome), where the Rams once played.
Tickets aren’t being sold for the upper deck. If they can somehow sell out the lower bowl, then it will be interesting to see if the stadium starts to open the upper levels.
The grand total for today’s game was 29,554.
