XFL Attendance: Seattle Dragons fans cannot beat their record in attendance but get over 20k
Just days after the Seattle Dragons set a league record with 29,172 in attendance at their home opener against the Tampa Bay Vipers, Seattle has surged past 10,000 in season-ticket sales, according to The Seattle Times.
We expect a crowd of 20,000 plus this week as the Dragons welcome the Dallas Renegades, and they broke 20k this week.
The XFL is off to a great start when it comes to attendance after the first game in week 3, where Tampa Bay had 18,117 fans for their first home game.
The Dragons struck first when QB Brandon Silvers hit Austin Proehl on a nice post pattern. Proehl was born in 1995, during his father’s two-year stint with the Seattle Seahawks. That was part of a very productive 17-season NFL career for Ricky Proehl, who had 669 career catches for 8,878 yards and 54 touchdowns.
The Renegades led by Landry Jones scored and tied the game quickly.
