XFL Attendance: Tampa Bay Vipers fans show up BIG TIME in their first home game

Tampa Bay Vipers fans showed up today an in their first game they had a pretty solid attendance.

The Tampa Bay/St. Petersburg area does not support the Rays (14k on average) or Buccaneers (59k on average) very well but they showed up for the Tampa Bay Vipers today. You have to keep in mind Raymond James Stadium holds 65,890 fans.

The Vipers had 18,117 in attendance for their first home game.

The Vipers fans were not the only ones to show up, their players showed up too. Shoot they were 0-2 this week facing the best team in the XFL the Houston Roughnecks who are 2-0. Well they came out playing like they had nothing to lose.

The Vipers using two quarterbacks between Taylor Cornelius and Quentin Flowers were running the ball well. The Vipers were tied at 18 at the half, with PJ Walker of the Roughnecks still playing like an MVP.

The Vipers are in the game, and so are their fans. Next week the Vipers play the DC Defenders, so it is good to see they are finally moving the ball.

Cam Phillips had a game with three touchdowns and 180 yards plus receiving yards.
