What have you taken away the most from the coaching staff during your time at FSU?
I have taken a lot of things away from the two staff I played for during my time at FSU. But the biggest thing I took away from them is accountability. Not only on the football field but in class and now in life.
When football is over, what do you aspire to do in the professional world?
I plan to come back home and give back to the community by becoming a football coach at my local high school.
What separates you from other players on the offensive line?
I feel like I am the toughest player on the field when I step on it. No matter what the situation is, I think that I am always in control.
Who is the toughest player you’ve competed against during your collegiate career?
Christian Wilkins or Marvin Wilson.
If your life was a book, what would the title be?
“Overcoming Adversity.”
Give me your Mount Rushmore of all-time offensive linemen, past or present. What made you choose these four players?
Larry Allen, Anthony Muñoz, Walter Jones, Joe Thomas.
Is there a current or former NFL player you emulate your game after?
Yes, Quentin Nelson and Richie Incognito.
Let’s take a trip back to the first day of your freshman year at Coffee County High School. What advice would you give yourself then, knowing what you know now?
Always listen to your coaches because even if it does not seem like it at the time, they always know what is best for you.
If I’m in Tallahassee on a Saturday night during the Fall, where is the one place I have to eat?
Jim & Milt’s.
Give me your elevator pitch, in 15 words or less, on how Cole Minshew will be an asset to their organization for years to come.
You will get a guy that will be at work on time and work hard. I am loyal and very coachable. I can also guarantee no off the field issues.
