Congratulations on the All-Big South Team honor. That’s two years in a row. What is the moment like when you get that news and who is the first person you call and tell?

It was definitely an honor to be recognized by the Big South for the second year in a row. I was happy to see that my hard work all offseason paid off. The first people I told were my parents because they know just how much time and effort I put into football.

What have you taken away the most from the Coach Callahan, Coach Dorsett and the rest of the Monmouth coaching staff?

The coaches taught me how to persevere through the highs and lows and to be my best on and off the field.

When football is over, what do you aspire to do in the professional world?

I plan to complete graduate school and receive my MBA. I will also take the CPA exam and start my career in the accounting field.

What separates you from other players at your position?

I believe what separates me from other players is that I am mentally tough and still have a lot of room for improvement.

Who is the toughest player you’ve competed against during your collegiate career?

Chandler Burks, the quarterback from Kennesaw State. He was extremely good at running their offense and was great at finding the end zone.

Is there a current or former NFL player you emulate your game after?

As a kicker, I look up to Justin Tucker. He is the best kicker in the NFL right now because he has a strong leg and is also very consistent.

Let’s take a trip back to the first day of your freshman year at Middletown South High School. What advice would you give yourself then, knowing what you know now?

I would just tell myself to enjoy it while it lasts because it goes by fast and when it’s over you are going to miss playing on Friday nights with all your best friends.

If I’m in West Long Branch on a Saturday night during the Fall, where is the one place I have to eat at?

You should go to Jack’s and get some wings and ribs.

You’re in front of all 32 NFL General Managers and have 15 words or less to give them your pitch on why Matt Mosquera will be an asset to their organization for years to come. What do you tell them?

I’m an extremely hard worker and still have a lot to improve.
