What have you taken away the most from Coach Trisciani, Coach Browning and the rest of the Elon coaching staff?

The best way to attack each day. They have been great in demonstrating how to use each day to the fullest and to take complete advantage to get better every day.

When football is over, what do you aspire to do in the professional world?

Once football is over, I would like to be an engineer working in research and development.

Who is on your Mt. Rushmore of the past or present NFL TEs?

  1. Rob Gronkowski
  2. Tony Gonzalez
  3. Shannon Sharpe
  4. Jason Witten

What separates you from other players the Tight End position?

I am not a one-dimensional player. I play in the slot, backfield and with my hand in the dirt. I can run routes and I can pass block. I am a great inline blocker and I love contact, but I can also use finesse while running routes.

Who is the toughest player you’ve competed against during your collegiate career?

Tanoh Kpassagnon (DE, Villanova, 2012-2016). He was a senior my freshman year and still is the best defensive end I’ve gone against.

Is there a current or former NFL player you emulate your game after?

Jason Witten.

Let’s take a trip back to the first day of your freshman year at Williamsville South High School. What advice would you give yourself then, knowing what you know now?

Stop focusing on basketball so much and dedicate more time to football.

Currently, who is the best player in the NFL?

Lamar Jackson, he is playing on a different level than everyone else right now.

If I’m in Elon on a Saturday night during the Fall, where is the one place I have to eat?

Get the Philly cheesesteak from Mykonos Grill.

Give me your elevator pitch, in 15 words or less, on how Matt Foster will be an asset to their organization for years to come.

I have the size, athleticism, drive and football IQ to help your team win.
