What have you taken away the most from the Coach Minter, Coach Summers and the rest of the Campbell coaching staff?
They have taught me a lot as a player, like the intensity level you must play with to be successful.
You transferred from Buffalo after spending 2015-2018 with their football program. What made Campbell the right place to finish out your collegiate eligibility?
The coaching staff and players played a big role in my commitment along with the opportunity to have healthy reps.
When football is over, what do you aspire to do in the professional world?
I would like to be a college football coach when my football career is over.
What separates you from other players at your position?
The ability to cause stress on defenses with the versatile packages I’m involved in.
Who is the toughest player you’ve competed against during your collegiate career?
Sutton Smith DE (NIU).
Is there a current or former NFL player you emulate your game after?
I like a number of versatile backs like Le’Veon Bell, Christian McCaffrey, Alvin Kamara, etc.
Let’s take a trip back to the first day of your freshman year at Mill Creek High School. What advice would you give yourself then, knowing what you know now?
I would tell myself to work 10 times harder because it is all worth it when you put the work in.
If I’m in Buies Creek on a Saturday night during the Fall, where is the one place I have to eat at?
Sports Zone for the wings.
You’re in front of all 32 NFL General Managers and have 15 words or less to give them your pitch on why Johnathan Hawkins will be an asset to their organization for years to come. What do you tell them?
I will always exceed the expectations for me. Consistency is my base principle.
