West Texas A&M wide receiver shot and killed in Texas
West Texas A&M University lost a wide receiver this week. The Bexar County Medical Examiner has identified Aydin Hoffman as a victim of a murder.
Aydin Hoffman signed with West Texas A&M from Madison High School in San Antonio, Texas where he played wide receiver and tight end for the Mavericks.
In 2018, He earned First Team All-District honors after leading MHS to a district championship and appearance in the second round of the playoffs.
According to ABC 7 News in Amarillo, Police said the incident happened just before 12:30 a.m. Monday at the Echo Apartments on O’Connor Road near Nacogdoches Road.
Police said as many as three suspects fired several shots through the back window of the victim’s white Honda. The victim drove down the street where he eventually crashed.
