Tell us about your hometown and your university/college. What was your major/minor? How is campus life?
I was raised in Miami and went to school in Broward County. What I love most about my hometown is the diversity and the positive energy. I finished with a bachelors degree in Criminal Justice at Alcorn State and started my Masters in Sports Management at Southern Miss. Campus life is a cool experience, living and being around a bunch of people.
What do your teammates say is your best quality?
My character and speed
What kind of role do you see yourself in on the team? What scheme and/or position suits your skill set?
Wherever I’m needed. I fit more in a 3/4 or 4/3 defense playing at the DE/LB hybrid position.
List these three in order of importance and why: Film Study, Strength and Conditioning and Practice?
They all are just as important aspects in elevating your game. Film study helps you understand your opponent and game plan. Strength and Conditioning are important because you need a healthy body and third you need practice to be great.
Describe a time in your life when you were able to overcome a struggle.
Throughout life I’ve failed at many things and seeing them as a lesson instead of a failure. It helped me overcome obstacles with better knowledge and wisdom. There was a time where I was struggling to lose weight. As I embraced the process it began to work in my favor.
If you didn’t play football, what other sport would you play?
If I didn’t play football, I would probably play basketball or baseball not saying I’m good at either of them though, but I would try.
What is something that you are most proud of? What would you say is your biggest achievement?
I’m proud of myself overcoming many life obstacles, and having the ability to go to college and get a degree.
If there was a disaster and you could either save three strangers or one family member, which would you choose and why?
One family member because I’m close to this person. It would be on my conscience that I could’ve helped. I owe them all my loyalty.
Do you have a favorite athlete or professional team? Is there a player that you model your game after?
I don’t really have one favorite athlete, I admire anyone who has passion in what they do. I’d say my game models close to a Von Miller type of playing style.
Who is your favorite music artist? What gets you pumped before a game?
Just thinking how far I’ve came excites me to be in the moment and of course I have my fair share of music artists that get me hype before a game.
What is your favorite comfort food?
Fruit
What do you do in your spare time? Do you have any hobbies?
In my spare time I like to relax, meditate, and stretch.
Who or what motivates you the most?
My biggest motivation in my life is my family, that’s all I know.
