Patriots Offensive Coordinator says the Bills are the best defense they play
This week the Buffalo Bills have a huge test ahead of them, they have to play in Foxborough. The crazy thing is they are not good when playing the Patriots at Gillette Stadium, since Tom Brady has been their quarterback. Oddsmakers are confident in the Patriots’ chances of winning. The Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas has pegged the defending Super Bowl champions as 7-point favorites in the opening betting lines for Week 16.
The Patriots are 5-1 at home this season and have won 21 of their last 22 games at Gillette Stadium. They are 8-6 against-the-spread (ATS) in 2019, and only 3-3 ATS at home. The Bills are an impressive 9-4-1 ATS through 14 games, including a 6-0-1 ATS record on the road.
The Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels though gave the Bills a ton of credit when talking about their defense.
“This is the best defense that we play. The challenge is incredible,” Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels said. We got to see them once this year and now we have another opportunity to prepare and play in an incredibly important game to our season this week.”
The Patriots have struggled offensively this year, and remember they barely beat the Bills week 4 this year. The Bills are horrible in New England but this year they are better on the road than they are at home. There are huge implications on this game, and the Bills really have nothing to lose at this point. The Bills need to win out and have the Patriots lose out if they want to clinch the division.
The wild thing is the Bills are in, and if they are smart, they will do everything to punch the Patriots in the mouth at home. Brady is getting older, their defense is elite, but this could be the changing of the division. If you want to feel you can compete you have to take down the Giant that has been crushing you for years. This is the perfect opportunity. The Bills are getting 7 points on the road, and I have to say I love that bet. We shall see, but I would not be surprised to see the Bills pull out all the punches to get the whale off their back.
