College Gridiron Showcase Grinders: Which players caught our scouts eyes in Week 11?

Josh Love, QB, San Jose State – The Spartans QB is a legit prospect. He stands at 6020 and slings the ball all over the field. He is already over 3000 yards on the season with 19 touchdowns and 4 interceptions. Love a Mission Viejo, California native had a great game this past week even though they lost to Hawaii. Love finished with 375 yards passing and 2 touchdowns. I like Love, he is starting to grow on me.

Xavier Jones, RB, SMU – The Spring, Texas native eclipsed 1000 yards this past weekend and finished the game with 157 yards on the ground and three rushing touchdowns bringing his season total up to 18 TD’s. Jones is a beast and he is having a monster year. If you remember correctly Jones had a huge season like this in 2017 as well.

Hutch White, WR, Texas State – The Bobcats wide out had himself a game to remember this past weekend against South Alabama. He finished the game with 10 receptions for 165 yards. While he did not score a touchdown he was impressive. He helped his teammates get a much needed win over USA. White is a Kerrville, Texas native and would be a great add to the CGS All Star Game.

Thomas Gordon, WR, Furman – Gordon has been a dominate force over the past several weeks. Furman does not throw the ball much but when they do this kid eats. Gordon had 10 receptions for 148 yards this past week. The Charlotte, North Carolina native is having a good showing his senior year. He is a 6000 wide out that weighs around 178 pounds.

Kristian Wilkerson, WR, SEMO – Let’s face it this kid is proving to be a force in the passing game. This week he finished with 254 yards receiving on 10 receptions and 2 touchdowns. SEMO beat EKU by a touchdown and no one could stop Wilkerson. He has been a force week in and week out and would be a great invite to the CGS.
