Diamond Talk: Chris Blair, WR, Alcorn State University | Keep Sleeping on my Sleeper
Chris Blair the big wide receiver from Alcorn State University is becoming one of my favorite players in the HBCU. They call him “CJ” and let me tell you the Louisville, Mississippi native is the real deal.
Blair was Alcorn’s leading receiver. He hauled in a team-high 529 receiving yards with six touchdowns. He averaged 12.3 yards per catch.
The 6030, 200 pound wide out has speed and big play ability. He spent some time at Hinds Community College and came to Alcorn with just two years of eligibility left. He has made the most of his opportunities though.
In 2017, Blair caught nine passes for 172 yards and three touchdowns in six games. The big-play threat averaged 19.1 yards per catch.
This year he is exploding on the scene again. He has been mentioned in my HBCU Heroes articles several times already. I love this kids potential. As you know I like to find players that no one is talking about. They say WHO? That is what we do at Draft Diamonds, so wake up. We are telling you that #11 from Alcorn is official. I am a fan.
This kid had an offer from Mississippi State, but decided to go to in a different direction after the coaching change. Think about that!
