Ohio State pass rusher and top 2020 NFL Draft Pick suspended indefinitely
The Ohio State Buckeyes just took a huge blow. According to ESPN, Chase Young tweeted Friday that he had accepted a loan from a family friend and is in the process of working with Ohio State and the NCAA to be able to play again
Ohio State confirmed the report on Friday morning, though exact details about the potential NCAA violation remain unclear at this point. The program is optimistic that Young will be cleared to return to Buckeyes this season, but a resolution for the matter still hasn’t been reached.
“Ohio State’s Chase Young will not play in this Saturday’s game between the Buckeyes and the Maryland Terrapins due to a possible NCAA issue from 2018 that the Department of Athletics is looking into,” a school statement said.
This could be a huge blow to the Ohio State season.
According to Pro Football Talk, the family friend is an NFLPA certified agent, which could cause major problems if true, more for the agent than Young.
