HBCU Heroes: Week 6 standouts who caught the eye of the HBCU Spirit of America Bowl
Deondre Francois, QB, Hampton – The former Florida State gunslinger looked like a hero this week. He dominated the North Alabama defense this week and put up 347 yards and had a total of four touchdowns. He ran for a score and had three passing touchdowns. Francois had a huge week.
Jimmie Robinson, WR, Bethune-Cookman – JRob blew up this week for Bethune-Cookman. He finished the day with 5 receptions for 136 yards and get this 3 touchdowns. Bethune-Cookman beat Morgan State, 31-20 and it was a great performance from Robinson.
Joshua Chase, RB, Morgan State – Morgan State may have lost, but Joshua Chase the big back rumbled for 124 yards on 25 carries against a stout Bethune-Cookman defense. I like chase he is a fun back to watch.
Taeyler Porter, RB, Arkansas Pine-Bluff – Porter continues to make this list because he is steadily tearing up the SWAC. He finished this week with 182 yards for 2 touchdowns on 21 carries. The Senior back looks like a legit NFL draft prospect.
