Youth football coach in Buffalo shot to death trying to break up a fight
I am from the Buffalo area, and I love football, so this story bothers me. A youth football coach was shot to death in Cheektowaga, New York this weekend.
The shooting happened at the corner of Sycamore and Koons, near Harvey Austin Elementary School. The police report says the young players just finished up playing a game at Emerson Park when a fight broke out near the school.
Norzell Aldridge a 36 year old coach for the Beast Elite Ducks was stepping into help break up the fight when he was shot and killed.
The kids were not involved in a fight, coach Aldridge noticed the fight happening and went to break it up to protect him players. That is when a man shot him in the chest and then shot a 20 year old unidentified male as well.
The sad thing is Mr. Aldridge coached these kids and enjoyed it, and now is dead. Please pray for his family because today he should be labeled a hero. It is unfortunate and horrible.
