College Gridiron Showcase Week 5 Standouts and Studs
Kentel Williams – RB – Austin Peay State University – He was the player of the week this week. He rushed 24 times for 174 yards and 2 touchdowns in a monster upset over Jacksonville State. I am a huge fan of the Knoxville, Tennessee native. He runs hard and looks like a great fit for the CGS All-Star Event.Â

Omar Bayless, WR, Arkansas State – I have to add him to this list for the second time this year. Bayless is a big target who is dominating the FBS right now. He finished this week against Troy with 10 receptions for 213 yards and 1 touchdown. That brings his yearly total to 689 yards receiving and 7 touchdowns. This kid is special.
Kevin Davidson, QB, Princeton –Â Player of the Week? If we are looking at statistics, Davidson has to be in the running. I mean the 6040 Danville, California native went 29-37 for 381 yards and 7 touchdown passes. Are you kidding me? Add in the fact he is smart enough to play for Princeton and you have yourself a stud.Â

Michael Lawrence, WR, North Texas – The Senior wide out from Sweetwater, Texas had a good game this week. He finished the game with 120 yards receiving on 9 receptions. Lawrence is a good possession wide receiver and reminds me of Julian Edelman. He has 261 yards on the year and only 1 touchdown.
Bryce Perkins, QB, Virginia – I am a big fan of this kid. He is 6030 and weighs 215 pounds. He had a pretty pass to the corner of the endzone this week. Perkins is a player I love and hope can make it to the College Gridiron Showcase. He finished this week against Notre Dame throwing for 334 yards and two touchdowns.
