Oklahoma starting kicker arrested this morning for public intoxication
You cannot give a kid a week off of football anymore.
Police reportedly arrested starting kicker Calum Sutherland for public intoxication. According to a report from OU Daily Sports, police arrested Sutherland at approximately 4:46 a.m. Saturday morning and took him to jail.
Sutherland has started all three games for the Sooners as their extra point and field goal kicker. He’s 23-for-23 on point-after attempts and 2-of-4 on field goals this season.
Oklahoma has the weekend off after taking down UCLA last weekend. The Sooners kicker is needed especially with how potent the offensive is with Jalen Hurts at quarterback. This is a huge blow for the Sooners, hopefully they can figure it out quickly.
