Antonio Brown asks Raiders to “release” him and they do
The saga continues…
Antonio Brown has now asked the Raiders to release him.
He just posted this to his IG account.
In addition to fining Antonio Brown $215,073.53 for conduct detrimental to the team that voided $29.125 million worth of guaranteed money in his contract, the Raiders sent Brown a letter that he no longer will be entitled to termination pay if they release him, per Adam Schefter.
Antonio Brown has yet to earn a real paycheck or bonus yet from the Raiders (his signing bonus was tied to attendance) and has been fined over $250k by the team already. His $29M in guarantees at signing have voided. They could cut him anytime and owe him nothing.
Breaking: Antonio Brown has been released
