Predicting three potential destinations for Texans pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney
There are so many teams that could use an upgrade at the defensive end position. Multiple teams come to mind but I will be predicting three teams that could use Jadeveon Clowney‘s services.
I understand that the Texans may want to land multiple draft picks but I am not sure they’re going to be able to do that. I do believe that the Texans could land a veteran player and a draft pick or multiple draft picks depending on the player. Let’s look at three teams that I feel have a need and also have a player who could be sent along with some picks to land the pass rusher.
The Texans three biggest needs are Offensive Tackle, Running Back and Wide Receiver.
Kansas City Chiefs – When I think of pass rushers I think of the Kansas City Chiefs first. This year they lost both Dee Ford and Justin Houston. I believe the Chiefs have some solid players that could be as trade bait to land Jadeveon Clowney. The first players that come to mind are wide receiver Tyreek Hill and running back Carlos Hyde.
Buffalo Bills – The Bills have some trade pieces as well, and they have Brian Gaine on their staff. Gaine was fired by the Texans because he wanted to pay Clowney but his head coach was not on the same page. The Bills have running back LeSean McCoy and defensive end Shaq Lawson who could be potential trade bait used for Clowney.
Miami Dolphins – The Miami Dolphins are the team that I think will go the hardest after Jadeveon Clowney. The Dolphins are really in a re-building mode and what a better way to build a team and to have a edge rusher that can make a major difference in the game. Flores is a defensive minded head coach and I believe that deep down inside he’s hoping to land a big piece like Clowney but not hoping to not give up so much. I could see the Dolphins moving WR Devante Parker as a potential piece to land pass rusher like Jadeveon Clowney. The Dolphins could package picks and Parker and I could see the Texans making the move.
