As an athlete, what is your motivation?
I want to achieve my dreams and you only get once chance in life to do just that. I’ve been told my whole life I wasn’t big enough, that I wasn’t fast enough, and I was not smart enough to learn or play the game of football. There is one thing I’ve known that defines you and is the most important thing about a person, and that is his effort. I have an undying effort to destroy anything that stands in my way. I want to defy the odds and make it to the NFL. I want to prove everyone wrong and I want to be able to establish a platform for myself so that I can work to make the world a better place with my character and actions.
What defines success for you?
Success is if you can sit back at the end of each day and say that you’ve given everything you got into that day. I believe success is built on every single day and you never truly are done working towards being successful, but you get closer each day. Whether you take one step forward or two steps backward, success is your attitude towards how you see your aspirations.
What would your teammates say about the type of player and man you are?
My teammates would define me as a leader, the hardest worker on the team, someone who is easy to talk to and always open. Someone who people come to talk to for advice, a competitor extremely active in the classroom and on the field, does extra work in free time.
Who is the toughest player you’ve competed against during your collegiate career?
Garrett Bradbury, NC State.
Finish this sentence. The best player in the NFL is _______.
Aaron Donald.
What is your team of choice on Madden, why?
Los Angeles Rams. I respect their defense and their defensive line is unbelievable, mad respect for them. I also use Todd Gurley a lot on counters and runs, he’s a great player.
Are you afraid of failure?
No, I am not scared of failure because I believe your setbacks are the greatest foundations for your comeback. Everyone fails, it’s part of life and part of growing, how you respond to failures is the most important thing.
Is there a current/former NFL player that you model your game after?
Fletcher Cox and Aaron Donald.
If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, living or deceased, who would it be and why?
Martin Luther King Jr. I would love to hear the guidance and teachings he could give to me. I would want to learn what true strength and perseverance is. This man stuck to his faith and what he believed in when he had people telling him that they will kill him and his family. He continued to fight for what he believed in, till his death, I think that is amazing.
In 15 words or less, why should an NFL team invest in you?
I’m the hardest working player you’ve ever met, professional in everything, phenomenal character, ballplayer, quick learner.
