Jackson State recruit shot and killed last night in Texas

Jackson State football recruit was shot and killed last night in cold blood, according to police reports. Leroy Hawkins was given a full scholarship from Jackson State to attend the HBCU powerhouse.

Jackson State University has some amazing ties to the NFL, and yesterday Leroy Hawkins, a 17 year old from Dallas, Texas was shot and killed.

Hawkins was expected to attend Jackson State University on a full-ride and never even made it there before getting shot and killed in the front seat of a red Pontiac, according to police reports.

He died at Baylor Hospital from the gun wounds. Hawkins was considered the 34th best player in the State of Texas according to Max Preps.  This is sad, another football player lost to gun violence.
