Houston Texans

Why is Adam Gase picked on for running his GM out of town but Bill O’Brien gets a pass?

The Houston Texans are a trainwreck right now, and who is to blame? Bill O’Brien should be getting the finger pointed at him

The Houston Texans have relieved Brian Gaine of his duties and this move makes absolutely no sense. If you remember correctly, last year the Texans fired assistant GM Jimmy Raye III who many believe would be the next GM of the Texans, after Rick Smith was fired. They replaced their former GM Smith with Brian Gaine who was hand-picked by Bill O’Brien. The problem is the Texans did not just get rid of Jimmy Raye III and recently Brian Gaine.

They also fired their director of college scouting Jon Carr, assistant director of college scouting Mike Martin (the man credited with finding Arian Foster & AJ Bouye), college scouting director Matt Jansen, and college scout Seth Turner. Carr and Martin had been with the team over a decade. The Texans trusted them to run the draft and then fired them.

After the draft this year, they fired Frantzy Jourdain, who had been a national scout for the team after serving as a Southeast area scout.

So here is my question, who is running this team? It has to be Bill O’Brien. He was mad that his team did not land a top offensive tackle, and now his scouts were fired. Not just his scouts his GM. The team was hoping to get their hands on Joe Douglas but he just signed a mega deal with the Jets.

The Jets were in the same situation a week ago. Everyone was crushing the Jets and especially Adam Gase. I have not heard anything about Bill O’Brien. They are acting like he did the right thing in Houston. I am sorry, he made a bad choice, and it is very funny to see. I feel bad for DeAndre Hopkins and DeShaun Watson because they deserve better.

Instead of firing your scouts, why don’t they fire their head coach? This is another problem because Bill O’Brien has too much power.
