Seahawks are suing a former player for 799,238 dollars

Former Michigan State pass rusher Malik McDowell is being sued by the team that selected him in the 2017 NFL Draft.

The Seattle Seahawks are not playing around and they want their money back. Malik McDowell was drafted in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft, and before ever taking the field he suffered major injuries from an ATV accident and was released this March after spending two years on the NFI list.

McDowell may now have to pay back almost 800,000 dollars of his rookie signing bonus because his former team is suing him.  The Seahawks filed a law suit in the US District Court in Michigan to recoup the money.

McDowell is ready to play football again after the injury and recently had a workout with the Cowboys but was not signed. This maybe a long shot to obtain the money owed, but the Seahawks are not playing around.
