Retired Eagle Chris Long said he smoked weed all the time during his career

Today the NFL begins testing for drugs
The NFL needs to do something about marijuana because players use it all the time, and do not hold back

Today recently retired defensive end Chris Long who finished out his career with the Eagles was on the Dan Patrick Show, and was asked a question about marijuana use during his NFL career, and boy I am not sure Dan was expecting the answer he received.

Long told Patrick:

“I certainly enjoyed my fair share on a regular basis through my career. If not for that, I’m not as capable of coping with the stresses of the day-to-day NFL life.”

“The league, speaking plainly, knows damn well what they’re doing. Testing players once a year for ‘street drugs,’ which is a terrible classification for marijuana, is kinda silly because players know when the test is. We can stop.

The league has been looking at trying marijuana for pain usage rather than pain killers, and it looks like the players need it.
