UAB’s Tre Crawford To Meet with Jacksonville Jaguars & Arizona Cardinals – Gaining Noteworthy Interest From Various NFL Teams
Tre Crawford, a former Linebacker for the University of Alabama-Birmingham, will be in Arizona this week meeting with the Arizona Cardinals. With several high-value draft picks, Arizona is hoping to get to know a few of their prospects before the 2019 NFL Draft begins on Thursday, April 25th.
Crawford has also previously met with the Indianapolis Colts, Houston Texans, San Francisco 49ers, and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The 6’3” 225 lb Linebacker began his collegiate career in 2015 at Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Texas before transferring to the University of Alabama-Birmingham. Crawford’s freshman season composed of 43 tackles, one sack, and one interception. In 2016, Crawford finished the season with 53 tackles, 4.5 sacks, and one forced fumble. During his senior season, Crawford started 12 games for UAB where he recorded 42 total tackles, 12.5 tackles for a loss, 8 sacks, and two fumble recoveries.
At UAB’s pro-day, Crawford recorded an impressive vertical jump of 42 inches, which would have tied him for fifth-overall among linebackers at the NFL Combine. He also hit 19 reps on the bench press and ran a 4.61 40-yard dash. All 32 NFL teams were in attendance, as well as the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League.
