Five teams that killed Day 2 of the NFL Draft
Yesterday we posted an article of five teams that did a great job on Round 1 and five teams that did a bad job in Round 1. It was a hit so we wanted to continue today on picking five teams that did a great job on Day 2 of the NFL Draft.
New England Patriots – Patriots killed the NFL Draft today. They selected CB JoeJuan Williams from Vandy, Chase Winovich from Michigan, Damien Harris from Bama, and Yodny Cajuste from WVU. All four were considered second-round picks to me, and all were very solid acquisitions. This is why the Patriots continue to win.
Carolina Panthers – The Panthers only had two selections and they made the most of them. They landed Greg Little from Ole Miss and Will Grier from West Virginia. It is not like them to draft a quarterback, but this is a huge pickup. Grier is a way better back-up than anyone they have had in the past 7 years.
Denver Broncos – Broncos landed Dalton Risner from Kansas State, Drew Lock from Missouri and Dre’Mont Jones from Ohio State. I think two of these players are going to be immediate impact players and Drew Lock will be the future of the Broncos. Joe Flacco will not be around forever, and Lock is hungry.
Green Bay Packers – Man this Packer’s front office is so much different. They are making moves and landing some solid players. Tonight they landed Elgton Jenkins and Jace Sternberger both were huge needs for the Packers, and both are immediate impact players. Sternberger was a diamond where they picked him in the 3rd round.
Baltimore Ravens – Ravens drafted Jaylon Ferguson and Miles Boykin. I love both of them and feel they will both get playing time day one. The Ravens are packing up on talent and they are not done yet. They still have five picks left, and many of them are in the fourth round.
