NFL Draft

What five teams made the biggest mistake after day 1 of the 2019 NFL Draft?

Chris Lindstrom is a very solid player, I just feel he was overdrafted. I cannot believe he went before Cody Ford, I just feel the Falcons reached.

Tonight was fun, the NFL Draft was great, but what teams really struggled tonight? I am going to talk about five teams who made horrible decisions on day 1 of the NFL Draft.

Arizona Cardinals – What and the heck are you doing? They drafted Kyler Murray number 1 overall, and did not have a trade in place for Josh Rosen. Now, the team is looking for a trade partner and I doubt they will get a 2nd round pick for him. This is a huge head scratcher and I am not liking this.

New York Giants – Giants had three picks in the first round and they were all head scratchers. The Giants drafted Daniel Jones with the sixth pick, and I get it you need your quarterback, but that was a huge reach. Then at 17 the pick for Odell Beckham Jr they go Dexter Lawrence and then traded back in the draft for DeAndre Baker. I am sorry, this was a bad draft.

Oakland Raiders – I want to give the Raiders the benefit of the doubt, but Clellin Ferrell with the fourth pick? I have to see him do something before I sign off on this. I am sorry, I had him as the sixth best defensive end. This was a huge reach. I love Josh Jacobs, but then they go safety with Abram. I am not sure this was the best move for the Raiders.

Atlanta Falcons – Come on Falcons, you pick two offensive lineman and I get it, both are solid, but I feel both are big reaches. They took Chris Lindstrom and Kaleb McGary. I have to say I am not a fan. I am sure Matt Ryan is a happy man, because they need lineman, I just think they could have had Cody Ford and Jawaan Taylor.

Seattle Seahawks – LJ Collier? I do not feel like putting too much more on this paragraph. The team just traded Frank Clark and they land TCU’s pass rusher LJ Collier? I think it was a reach, just my opinion.
