Trent Richardson continues to impress in the AAF, Attendance is impressive as well for Birmingham

Trent Richardson rushes for a touchdown against the Atlanta Legends tonight and he continues to impress me as a running back. He has been a workhorse at the goal line.

The Birmingham Iron continue to win football games. They did it this week because of a great ground game by Trent Richardson the former Alabama running back. He had a solid game rushing in front of 17,328 fans, who seemed to really embrace the AAF football league.

Birmingham had fans pouring in but Luis Perez struggled today. He threw the ball 24 times and only completed 10 times for 65 yards. Thankful the Atlanta quarterbacks were HORRIBLE. Matt Simms and Aaron Murray should both be benched and the Atlanta Legends should start looking at new options. I feel players like Chad Kelly, and even Paxton Lynch. Both players are sitting at home and looking for an opportunity. I mean there are quarterbacks like Austin Apodaca, Vernon Adams, Jeremiah Briscoe who would be huge upgrades at the QB position in my opinion. Both Murray and Simms threw an interception tonight and were sacked twice.

If Birmingham’s defense continues to impress, but Atlanta’s Jeff Luc was a beast, he had three sacks tonight against the Iron but it was not enough. Birmingham’s Jake Payne continues to wreak havoc on the quarterbacks as well racking up another 1.5 sacks. The main thing is the attendance continues to impress at Birmingham and this will be huge for their week 8 totals.
