NFL Draft Diamonds Prospect Interview: Devin Glenn, RB, Tulane University

What is your favorite song to listen to prior to competing?

Future – My Savages.

How would your teammates describe you as both a player and person?

They would describe me as a caring, energetic leader.

How do you and your teammates make practice and film study fun?

We compete and try to get the best out one another.

When you are studying film, what is your main focus to gain a competitive advantage?

My main focus is to gain leverage on my opponent’s weaknesses and strengths.

While at the Collegiate level, who has been the toughest player you have competed against?

Jeremy Cash.

For what in your life do you feel most grateful?

My Daughter.

If you could wake up tomorrow having gained one quality or ability, what would it be?

Having the ability to throw.

What do you value most from your Collegiate experience?

I value every experience and connection I’ve built with the people around me.

Who is your personal hero?

My grandfather.

Tell me something about yourself nobody would know.

I’m a great cook.

How do you work on yourself?

Having a open ear in all aspects to always improve.

If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, who would it be and why?

Floyd Mayweather because he’s a very successful African American and I want to learn about every obstacle he’s been through to make it where he is.

If you could have any superpower, what power would it be and why?

To Fly. Why not live up to my nickname (JET).

What would constitute a perfect day for you?

Being able to be worry free.

Who inspired you as a young athlete?

My older brother helped me realize my full potential and Reggie Bush was my idol.

What are the positive attributes that you bring to a professional football team?

Leadership. Being a DOG and being able to overcome adversity.

Tell me about a time where you overcame a challenge.

Being doubled teamed out of bounds and still making the tackle.

What one skill would you like to improve on? What’s your plan for doing so?

Blocking. I plan to do so by practicing and working on leverage and hand placement drills.

What is your dream NFL, past or present, offensive skill-set lineup? (QB, RB, WR, WR, TE)

Drew Brees, Robert Kelley, Micheal Thomas, Devin Glenn, and Charles Jones.

What current/former NFL player do you model your playing style after?

Darren Sproles.

What is the best part of your hometown; New Orleans, LA?

The culture.

I’m a natural DOG that’s hungry to make plays. You can’t teach speed and heart.
