Atlanta Legends attendance was overshadowed by the team keeping Matt Simms on the field

The Georgia State stadium only holds 25,000 fans, but it looked pretty packed from the TV. Randall Spear on Twitter was in attendance and he took this good picture showing tons of fans in attendance.

According to the announcement at the game 10,717 were in attendance for the first ever Atlanta Legends home game. The problem is the Legends still kept Matt Simms in at quarterback. The Atlanta fans would have been cheering a lot louder if former UGA Bulldog Aaron Murray would have been given an opportunity to play.

I know this is a developmental type of league, but I think the league has seen enough of Matt Simms. Simms finished 28/48, for 328 yards, averaging 6.8 yards per attempt, scoring 1 touchdown and 3 interceptions.

If the Legends start Matt Simms next week, they may lose more than just fans, they may start to lose the players. Play Aaron Murray.
