Born in Titusville, Florida raised in Lawrenceville, Georgia

Who is your role model, and why?

I actually have a couple of role models, my mother being one because it’s not easy being a single mother raising. Four children on your own. She managed to do her best keeping a roof over our heads and food on a plate and. She taught us to respect and to never give up on something you really want. She instilled in us that we could do or be whatever it was we put our minds to. My grandmother who also lives with my mom, she’s had multiple strokes and also beat cancer and is also paralyzed on the left side of her body and still manages to do everything on a daily basis on her own for the most part. The strength she shows and never complains about anything keeps me going whenever I find myself in a tough situation.

Tough question, growing up in poverty has brought more than enough challenges. Evictions etc, but I recently broke my leg and had my season cut short. Do you have any pre-game rituals?

I have an older cousin named seek that had his life taken from we spoke often but never saw each other much, but when we did speak he always told me to never stop playing football. I pray and kind of talk to him before every game thanking him for his advice.

I’ve visited a detention center to speak to the troubled youth, I’ve spoken to a number of youth football teams just about importance of school and respecting your parents etc. to me though, I’m big on family and I love giving, one Christmas I had no money so I sold all of my Jordans to get money to buy my family Christmas gifts.
