Who is your role model, and why?

Arnold Schwarzenegger, because he is the true embodiment of achieving your wildest dreams. Through hard work and perseverance, he overcame many obstacles in his life and reached heights that millions of people can only dream of.

Who was your favorite teacher?

Nick Calvin, English teacher my senior year of high school. Besides doing a great job of making the course fun and interesting, he always pushed the class to be prepared for the future and to make the most out of each day. I credit him for helping me create the mentality to constantly achieve all of my potentials.

Did you play any other sports growing up?

Basketball, Wrestling, Baseball, Soccer

What is the one song that would fire you up before the biggest game of your life?

Darude- Sandstorm

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

This is really tough because I believe everybody has a unique skill set that makes them great but if I had to choose I would say, Mike Remmers. I chose him because we are a similar size and watching him over the years I see how he plays with great technique and competitiveness which I try to emulate in my own game.

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

In my sophomore year of high school, I was moved from the varsity team to the junior varsity team and I used that as motivation to continually grow as a young man and player. Within a week of being moved down, I did everything the coaches asked of me to show them I can be counted on and I went on to start the final four games of the season on varsity.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

Not really, I usually stay relaxed and never had a certain thing that I did before every single game. No superstitions or rituals for me.

What was the most memorable play of your collegiate career?

The second TD run against SDSU

What is the coolest thing you ever did off the field for someone else?

In 2013 at the Las Vegas Bowl we visited an elementary school and handed out brand new shoes to children who could not afford them. It was awesome to see the gratitude and excitement in their eyes to get new shoes of their choice before Christmas. Also how happy they were to meet college football players, it was weird to have somebody say they idolize you.

Who was your favorite NFL team growing up?

Minnesota Vikings

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?

Warren Buffet, Winston Churchill, Nikola Tesla
