Who is your role model, and why?
My father has always been my role model. Growing up, he always pushed me to do my best at everything I did, on and off the playing field.
Who was your favorite teacher?
My favorite professor in college has been Professor Pazour because she not only taught Industrial Engineering concepts, but showed how those concepts can then be applied to various real-world situations.
Did you play any other sports growing up?
I played soccer growing up until senior year of high school. Around junior year of high school, I decided to kick for my high school football team and was able to have success with my leg strength and accuracy. With this found success, I found a new passion in Kicking and I haven’t looked back since.
Who was the toughest player you ever faced?
Alfred is always an opponent that you can count on to be tough to play against. This past year, they had a kickoff return specialist who was who was fast and dangerous. Despite this, I was able to kick 6 of 6 touchbacks and eliminate him as a threat.
Who is the most underrated player on your team?
Nick Esposito. If it wasn’t for a knee injury, he could still be playing today.
What is the one song that would fire you up before the biggest game of your life?
I don’t like to listen to music before a game, but Bruce Springsteen always gets me fired up.
If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?
Stephen Hauschka. Hauschka is a kicker who started his college career at Middlebury College, another D3 college, and understands the hard work it takes to become one of the best at what we do.
What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?
After skipping 1st grade, I was always a year younger than all of my classmates. Because of this, I was always a lot smaller than my teammates and opponents. This forced me to learn how to use my size as an advantage and find other ways to compete at the next level.
Do you have any pre-game rituals?
I try and stay as loose as I can before a game. Remaining calm and relaxed helps me perform at my best in the game.
What was the most memorable play of your collegiate career?
Converting a 2-point conversion from a blocked extra point vs. WPI senior year. Being able to turn a negative play that could have potentially given the other team 2 points into a play that gave us 2 points, was an exhilarating feeling that I will never forget.
What is the coolest thing you ever did off the field for someone else?
Off the field, I started a volunteering group called Students for Service where we are focused on volunteering on a weekly basis. I have helped feed the homeless at a homeless shelter, read to kindergarten students, and teach engineering subjects through games to middle schoolers.
Who was your favorite NFL team growing up?
’07 Giants
If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?
Jesus, Steve Jobs, Warren Buffett
