My father, because he taught me the importance of discipline and education. He also offers me the experiences of valuable life lessons that often come with a blunt reality.

Professor Dena Counts at Abilene Christian University because she was very concerned with my overall success as a student, athlete and human being.
Did you play any other sports growing up?
Track and basketball.

What is the one song that would fire you up before the biggest game of your life?
ALLBLACK- Salute me
If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?
I would most compare my style of play with Mike Hilton of the Pittsburg Steelers because we are both versatile, meaning that we are able to cover receivers man to man, play zone coverage, and physically impact the run game.
What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?
My biggest obstacle was changing my thinking. Although this change is an ongoing process, I overcame my initial struggles by embracing education, hard work and discipline.
Do you have any pre-game rituals?
My pre-game ritual begins the day before a game when get my haircut and lay out my clothes and uniform. Later in the evening I eat my game steak, bake potato and salad. On game day, I eat my pre-game meals and meditate and mentally walk through my plays. Finally, before going on the field I look in the mirror to make sure I look good.
What was the most memorable play of your collegiate career?
I watched film all week and recognized this was a routine play that our opponent ran. Pro twins 11 personnel, my coach called man coverage I had the tight end man to man inside leverage, he was covered by the receiver which makes him ineligible. So I blitz the C gap the #2 fly sweep motion I tackled him in the backfield for a loss.
What is the coolest thing you ever did off the field for someone else?
I was at the bus stop and a kid wanted to listen to music however, his brother would not let him borrow his head phones so I gave him my $350.00 Beats by Dre’s.
Who was your favorite NFL team growing up?
My favorite team has always been the Dallas Cowboys.
If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?
I would select Jerry Jones for his wisdom, Floyd Mayweather to gain insight on how he overcame his challenges and Jay-Z because of his ability to evolve.
