Ms. Heartwell, my high school sophomore history teacher
Did you play any other sports growing up?
Yes, football, basketball, soccer, and track.
Who was the toughest player you ever faced?
Marshawn Williams, from Hampton high and later went on to play running back at Virginia Tech.
Who is the most underrated player on your team?
Kenny Haggins, who played linebacker with me was a better athlete than recognized.
What is the one song that would fire you up before the biggest game of your life?

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?
Deion Jones, his position, size, and play.
What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?
I’ve had many setbacks and situations where I didn’t know where my life was headed, but I feel like the biggest obstacle in my life is overcoming the pressure I feel to be successful and I still haven’t fully overcame it.
Do you have any pre-game rituals?
Run, stretch, and lift weights a couple hours prior. Then eat, relax, hydrate, pray before I hit the field and right before the game start.
What was the most memorable play of your collegiate career?
When we lost to our rivals by a field goal my junior year. We beat them 40-0 last year, but I still could never forget that play.
What is the coolest thing you ever did off the field for someone else?
I helped build a house for somebody.

Baltimore Ravens
