Week 9 Fantasy Studs: Quarterback Position

Jameis Winston is becoming a leader in Tampa Bay
Jameis Winston is a hot starter this week

Week 9 Fantasy Studs   Reed Spangenberg

Quarterback:

Aaron Rodgers vs. IND.

-Aaron Rodgers bounced back from his poor start to the season and is now making fantasy owners who drafted him feel better about their decision. Over the past two weeks he has passed for 7 TDs and almost 600 yards. His match-up is about as good as it can get this week against Indianapolis (31st against the pass).

Jameis Winston vs. ATL.

-Tampa Bay’s offensive performance last week was underwhelming, but Winston has consistently rebounded from poor performances by putting up big numbers the following week. Even with his poor play, he did not turn the ball over and was able to find the end zone twice. Atlanta has allowed 19 TDs through the air this season and that bad statistic will likely grow by two or three on Thursday night.

Dak Prescott vs. CLE.

-Prescott had his first disappointing performance last week in a tight game against Philadelphia, but he still was able to lead the Cowboys to a fourth quarter victory. Cleveland is on the opposite side of the spectrum from the Eagles when it comes to stopping the quarterback, which means that Prescott is in a great position to put up respectable numbers in week 9.

Marcus Mariota vs. SD.

-Last week the Titans walked all over Jacksonville and Marcus Mariota looked the best he has all season. Mariota has a very favorable schedule for the rest of the season, facing very poor defenses against the pass so he is definitely someone to consider trading for. This week should be another good outing for Mariota as the Chargers are allowing 275 yards a game through the air.

Ryan Tannehill vs. NYJ.

-Tannehill hasn’t been a great fantasy QB this season, but his match-up against the Jets gives him the opportunity to put up some great statistics. The Jets rank last in the league when it comes to stopping the pass and Miami has had 2 weeks to prepare for their opponent.
