What is your name?

Jalen Randolph

What is your Height/Weight?

6’0 / 270

What is your position?

Defensive Tackle

Where do you play college football?

Tiffin University

Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field?

Volunteer Coaching for our kids flag football summer camp. It’s fun every year just to get out there with the kids and just get our mind off of summer lifting and conditioning.

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

Computer Programming class

Where are you from?

Columbus, Ohio

Who is your role model, and why?

My mom. She really molded me and shaped me into the man I am today.

Did you play any other sports growing up?

Basketball when I was younger and a little bit of baseball in high school

Did you play any other positions in football?

Center and guard in high school

At your position, what separates you from others?

My hands and playing with leverage. I feel like I’m good at getting extension and shedding blocks from O-linemen because of my hands. Also being an undersized D-lineman I feel like I use a lot of natural leverage to my advantage.

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

I look for certain tendencies from O-linemen. If you can figure what your opponent is going to do pre-snap, you have an advantage.

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

Branden Revenberg, guard from GVSU last year. He was a good player.

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

Aaron Donald and Elvis Dumervil. Those guys aren’t the biggest guys on the field but they play with a lot of heart and passion. That’s what I pride myself on. They don’t let there size determine how they play.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

No not nothing out of the ordinary. I try to just stay loose and have fun on game days. Put my headphones in and vibe out

jalenAs a small school football player what obstacles do you feel you have to overcome?

I would have to say proving myself against higher ranked competition.

What is your biggest strength?

My hands

What is your biggest weakness?

Inconsistent with pass rush

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

I would say that I am a savvy player with a knack to the ball, who plays with a lot of heart and passion, has great hands and uses good leverage in the run game.

Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up?

Mike Vick and the Atlanta Falcons

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?

Tupac, Malcolm X, J. Cole

With your first NFL paycheck what would you buy?

Buy my family a house for sure.
