Vikings have signed former first round pick Jake Long; Place Andre Smith on I/R
Tom Pelissero of USA Today reports that the Vikings are signing OT Jake Long to a one-year contract on Tuesday. Long worked out for the team this week according to head coach Mike Zimmer yesterday in his press conference.

The Vikings have been crushed by injuries this year. The team lost Andre Smith their starting offensive lineman to an injury this week. He will likely be placed on the injured reserve to make room for Long.
